This course is designed to prepare students for a career as a Commercial Truck Driver by helping them pass the CDL permit exam. It serves as an essential foundation for entering the trucking industry. Throughout the CDL pre-licensing course, you will learn crucial skills needed to begin your career as a commercial truck driver. The curriculum covers transporting cargo, operating commercial vehicles, and handling hazardous materials. Additionally, you will develop valuable soft skills that will enhance your employability with potential employers. Upon completing this course, you will be ready to take and pass the Alabama Commercial Driver’s License written exam. - 30 contact hours / THE REGISTRATION PERIOD FOR THIS COURSE OPENS ON 4/16/25 AND ENDS ON 7/15/25.

This course provides students with concepts as related to areas of basic life support to include coronary artery disease, prudent heart living, symptoms of heart attack, adult one-and-two rescuer CPR, first aid for choking, pediatric basic life support, airway adjuncts, EMS system entry access, automated external defibrillation (AED), and special situations for CPR. Upon course completion, students should be able to identify situations requiring action related to heart or breathing conditions and effectively implement appropriate management for each condition. Students successfully completing this course will receive appropriate documentation of course completion.

The course is a 12-week program designed to prepare phlebotomists for the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician exam. This course combines theoretical learning with hands-on training, including practical lab experience. Students will master blood collection techniques like venipuncture and capillary draws. Key topics include the Clinical Laboratory, Safety and Infection Control, Medical Terminology, Basic Anatomy and Physiology, Ethical and Legal Issues, and Quality Management in Phlebotomy. Tuition includes books, supplies, clinical training, and the certification exam. Uniforms, physicals, immunizations, and CPR are the student's responsibilities.
