CVCC Workforce Development constantly seeks new and innovative ways to meet the learning needs of the community. This course is designed to prepare students for a career as a Commercial Truck Driver by helping them pass the CDL permit exam. It serves as an essential foundation for entering the trucking industry. Throughout the CDL pre-licensing course, you will learn crucial skills needed to begin your career as a commercial truck driver. The curriculum covers transporting cargo, operating commercial vehicles, and handling hazardous materials. Additionally, you will develop valuable soft skills that will enhance your employability with potential employers. Upon completing this course, you will be ready to take and pass the Alabama Commercial Driver’s License written exam.

NC Medical Coding Certification Training (NHIT-9001)

This six-month course is designed to prepare participants for the AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam. The course focuses on teaching fundamental medical coding skills for professional services, physicians, mid-level providers, etc. It covers CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding and includes a significant hands-on practice component where participants code in the real world and redact medical records using CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II code sets. The course ensures a broad knowledge of reviewing and assigning the correct procedure and diagnosis codes for professional (physician) services. Prerequisites include Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy courses. Work experience or other healthcare courses may satisfy these requirements.
